Fall

Brody is a big helper outside. I didn't get a chance to rake leaves until November, and even then, I didn't get them all before the snow started coming down. Oh well, I will hopefully have more time this spring to work out in the yard. Brody was a big help, he loved playing in the leaves and putting them in his little wheelbarrow. He wanted me to cover him completely so he could "hide."

Cute Pics

These are just some pictures of Brody jumping on the bed. He is soo cute!! Look at that huge smile.

Brody's couch

Brody informed his dad today, October 22nd, 2008, that this was in fact his couch and NOT his dad's couch.

Meet Duke

Jer adopted a new dog for us this year. He is a five year old chocolate lab named Duke. Duke is a bird hunting dog and Jer has enjoyed hunting with him this fall. Duke is also a very excellent family dog and he follows us around everywhere. I trip over him several times a day. He is almost as big of a helper as Brody is with chores and cooking!! We love Duke and he is so good with Brody. He is so patient and gentle. He doesn't seem to mind at all when Brody pulls his ears, tail, tries to ride him like
a horse or whatever else Brody thinks up. He just keeps wagging his tail and sitting there. Here are some pics of Brody and Duke hanging out.

Halloween

Brody had a great time this year on Halloween. He was a bat and wanted to fly all over the place with his bat costume on, so mom and dad built up their arm muscles this October by flying Brody all over the place whenever he found his costume. Just so everyone knows, there is no place in our house to hide a halloween costume from a two year old.
Brody's school had a little Halloween party and we went through the parade. He had a lot of fun. Then he went trick-or-treating with me, Jer, Tony, Taylor, Aunt Amy, Uncle Greg, Aunt Sarah, and Grandma. All three kids dressed up as something to do with bats, Brody was a bat, Tony was Batman and Taylor was a Batpire. I didn't really think that he would like going up to people's houses, but he did and loved it. He even said trick-or-treat and thank-you. We had a great time walking all over my mother's neighborhood and Brody was a very cute bat.

Brody's 2nd Birthday

Brody had a great birthday. He has discovered Thomas the Train and loves watching and playing with trains now. I mae him a pillowcase and blanket with Thomas the Train and we got him a Thomas the Train set. Unwrapping presents was pretty much over after that. He took the train and ran. Jer set it up for him and that is what we spent the remainder of the birthday doing. He got a lot of really great, fun, stuff from everyone. He really liked the candy with the crab that moved on top of it from grandpa and grandma. He still plays with it and carries it around. Brody had a pretty good day, and the weather was beautiful so we just had a small BBQ and played outside.

At the Zoo

I took Brody to the Idaho Falls zoo with my mom. He had such a good time. They have a really fun area at the petting zoo with sand and it has eggs and a nest and toys, it's surrounded by a fence and you can see the chickens and ducks. Brody thought he was pretty cool sitting in the nest. He didn't want to leave! He also loved the flamingos and the monkeys. We got to see the snow leopards and camels as well. Afterwards we went and played at the park. We had a great day.

Cookie Monsters

Brody's cousin Jace came to visit one day and the two of them got really messy eating chocolate chip cookies. They were pretty cute - as long as they didn't try to touch me! Brody had a great time playing with Jace and enjoyed him coming over a couple of times, and visiting with him at his house.

First boat ride of Summer 4-13-08

We were able to get out on the boat pretty early this year. Mid-April, we went to Massacre Rocks and went for a ride down the river. It was beautiful. Brody had a great time. He played in the water, even though it was really, really cold. We have been able to get out a few more times this year and he thinks its pretty fun to be on the boat. When he knows we are going to go, he will grab his shoes and his lifejacket and follow me and Jer around the house ready to go.

Easter

Brody was so fun on Easter. It was pretty ugly outside but we still were able to hide some eggs and let the kids find them. Brody did a great job and was way more interested in finding eggs than I thought he would be.

Snow!!!

Brody loves being outside, it doesn't matter how cold it is. So we went outside and built a snowma

n and then Jer made it into a snow fort. We had a good time, even if it was cold.
