Sledding

We thought that we should take Brody out and see how he liked sledding. So one really cold day, we took the sled and my nieces and went sledding. He looked like Ralphie's little brother from the Christmas Story in his snow pants and snow coat. It was so cute!! He could hardly walk. He hated having his snowboots on, and his hat, and his gloves. He threw a pretty good tantrum at one point. He did really good the first time down and liked it, but cried the whole way down the second time. We only went twice down the hill that day, but came back a few days later and went a couple more times. Since I've been home on break, Brody has been staying home with me and he lets me know when it is time to go outside. He goes to his room and brings me his snowboots and puts his hat on. I spent an hour outside one day pulling him around the back yard on the sled. Another day we played in the snow and made snowballs. He was more interested in eating the snow than throwing the snowballs. Anyway, I have enjoyed my little break from school and have loved every minute playing with Brody. He is such a good boy and loves outside!!

Studying!!

Well, finals came and I was studying hard. I had just put Brody down for the night and had retreated to the bedroom to go over some notes. Not 30 minutes goes by and who should wake up but Brody!! And he refused to go back to sleep. He saw what a good time I was having and decided to join me in studying. He is so helpful. I know I wouldn't have passed the final without him.

Christmas Tree

We went and cut down our Christmas tree this year - and had a good time. It was snowy and beautiful up in the mountains. Brody was so cute and was giggling and having a good old time. At one point, Jer was shaking off a tree and Brody just started giggling. It was the cutest little sound. Anyway, once we got home, Brody was a big helper and helped me decorate the tree. He really likes the lights.
